From 12 to 16 March 2018 ICMED team from the University of IASI (University Alexandru Ioan Cuza Din Iasi, Romania) and the University of Bologna visited the Algerian partners, University of ORAN and University of BISKRA (University Mohamed Khider of Biskra, Algeria). A series of interviews were conducted with representatives of staff members and students who benefited from E+ International Credit Mobility exchanges for staff teaching, staff training, study and research activities. A total of 11 staff members and 12 students participated in the interviews, which were the occasion to discuss about personal intercultural experiences, opportunities for individual or group exposure to innovative learning and teaching techniques abroad, chances for strengthening one’s academic curriculum.

The representative of the Algerian National Erasmus+ Office was also involved in a dedicated interview, to share opinion on the E+ programme, about both the achieved and expected results at national level.

Algerian academic and administrative staff and students agree that the Erasmus+ programme is a unique chance to change lives and open minds. Given the positive experiences so far, Algerian universities together with the Algerian NEO are willing to increase E+ mobility exchanges in order to multiply the opportunities
